Jillian Goldfine-Auerbach

LMHC, CASAC

Jillian earned her Master’s Degree from The College of Saint Rose in 2009, and in 2010 became dually licensed in Community Mental Health Counseling and Credentialed Substance Abuse Counseling (CASAC). She has worked in various settings including community-based case management, residential programs, inpatient substance abuse treatment, partial hospital psychiatric program, and most recently with the forensic male substance abuse population in prison.

Jillian has over a decade of experience treating individuals and enjoys working with adults from different backgrounds. She specializes in working with 1st responders, men’s issues, anger concerns, life transitions, vicarious and direct trauma, marriage/relationship concerns and addictive behaviors such as: substance abuse and porn/sex addiction.  

Jillian is a very direct and empathic therapist, using humor and insight to relate to her clients.  She is a compassionate and culturally sensitive clinician, aware of the unique needs her clients present with and strives to provide a therapeutic relationship where her clients can be open without fear of judgment. She utilizes various evidence-based treatment modalities and is well versed in Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Motivation Enhancement Therapy, Addiction Education,  Psychoeducation and Reality/Choice Therapy. In 2024, she became certified in Brainspotting, which is a neuroexperiential type of treatment to help reduce the frequency and intensity of uncomfortable emotions and trauma using focused mindfulness.
