Leigha Kosakowski
Leigha earned her master’s degree in clinical mental health counseling from Capella University in 2024. Leigha has experience working in outpatient counseling centers, inpatient hospitals, and human service agencies. She has tailored most of her clinical work towards adolescence and family systems. Leigha has experience navigating emotional regulation, communication difficulties, crisis management, behavioral disorders, grief, and trauma. She firmly believes that therapy is a collaborative experience with the adolescent's support systems. In addition to working with children and their families, Leigha has a desire to work with adults, couples, and those identifying as LGBTQ+. Her theoretical orientation is an integrative approach of person-centered, Solution Focused Behavioral Therapy and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. Ultimately, Leigha will meet clients where they are within their therapeutic journey and will adapt her approach to meet the needs and wants of the client. Outside of work, Leigha can be found training Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, gardening at home or at her local coffee shop drawing works of art.
