Agnes Laufer
Agnes (Agi) is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor, clinical supervisor, and highly experienced therapist at With Grace Mental Health Counseling. She is known for her depth of clinical skill, compassionate presence, and commitment to supporting both clients and clinicians in meaningful, lasting growth.
Agi specializes in maternal and perinatal mental health, working with women navigating pregnancy, postpartum changes, fertility challenges, and the emotional complexities of early parenthood. As a certified perinatal mental health counselor and former birth doula, she brings a unique level of insight and attunement to this work.
In addition to her work with maternal mental health, Agi is an experienced couples therapist who helps partners strengthen communication, navigate conflict, and deepen emotional connection. She supports couples in understanding relational patterns and building more secure, connected partnerships.
Agi also works with individuals navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, grief, self-esteem challenges, and life transitions. Her approach is integrative and grounded in evidence-based care, drawing from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Internal Family Systems (IFS), Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), Gottman Method, family systems work, and strengths-based, person-centered approaches. She thoughtfully tailors her work to each client’s needs, balancing insight, emotional processing, and practical strategies for change.
Collaboration is central to Agi’s philosophy. She frequently works alongside healthcare providers, community resources, and support systems to ensure comprehensive, holistic care for her clients.
As a clinical supervisor and mentor, Agi plays an essential role in supporting the development of therapists within the practice. She is deeply committed to fostering thoughtful, ethical, and high-quality care, helping clinicians grow in both skill and confidence.
Clients and colleagues alike experience Agi as grounded, knowledgeable, and deeply compassionate. She creates a therapeutic space that feels safe, supportive, and empowering.
