Alexandra Mott
Alex is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor who works primarily with adults navigating trauma, anxiety, depression, life transitions, and the lasting impact of family-of-origin experiences. She brings a steady, supportive presence to her work, helping clients feel both understood and equipped to move forward.
Alex has a growing focus on working with individuals in the perinatal period, including pregnancy and postpartum, supporting clients through the emotional, relational, and identity shifts that can arise during this time. She is also deeply attuned to how early family dynamics and systems shape present-day patterns, helping clients explore and shift these influences in a meaningful way.
Her approach is collaborative, trauma-informed, and tailored to each client’s needs. Alex integrates Brainspotting, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), allowing for both deeper processing and practical skill-building. She helps clients move beyond surface-level coping by addressing the underlying experiences and patterns that contribute to distress.
Alex supports individuals who may feel overwhelmed, stuck, or disconnected, helping them build emotional awareness, strengthen coping strategies, and develop healthier ways of relating to themselves and others. Her work is grounded in both insight and action, supporting lasting and sustainable change.
Clients often experience Alex as warm, approachable, and easy to connect with. She creates a therapeutic space that feels comfortable, authentic, and supportive of each individual’s unique process.
Alex earned her Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from The College of Saint Rose in 2020.
