Amy Houck

LMHC

Amy is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor and clinical supervisor at With Grace Mental Health Counseling, bringing over a decade of experience across a range of settings including crisis intervention, outpatient care, supported housing, and intensive outreach. She is a highly experienced clinician who works with both adolescents (16+) and adults navigating complex emotional and mental health challenges.

Amy supports clients experiencing anxiety, depression, trauma, mood disorders, and co-occurring conditions. She is particularly skilled at working with individuals who may feel overwhelmed, stuck, or unsure how to move forward, helping them build clarity, stability, and a stronger sense of direction.

Her approach is integrative and tailored to each client, drawing from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), psychodynamic therapy, and strengths-based, person-centered approaches. Amy balances insight-oriented work with practical strategies, helping clients not only understand themselves more deeply, but also make meaningful, sustainable changes in their daily lives.

Amy’s style is grounded, compassionate, and collaborative. She places strong emphasis on the therapeutic relationship, creating a space that is nonjudgmental, trauma-informed, and supportive of each client’s individual process. She works alongside clients to build self-efficacy, strengthen coping skills, and reconnect with a sense of agency and possibility.

In addition to her clinical work, Amy serves as a clinical supervisor within the practice, mentoring therapists and supporting the delivery of thoughtful, high-quality care across the team.

Amy earned her Master’s degree in Counseling from the University at Albany (SUNY Albany).
