Gabriella Brumaghim

LMHC

Gabriella Brumaghim works with adults who may appear capable and successful on the outside while feeling overwhelmed, stuck, or disconnected beneath the surface. She understands how anxiety, perfectionism, self-doubt, and burnout often develop alongside high expectations and how these patterns can quietly shape relationships, identity, and overall wellbeing.

Many of her clients feel responsible for everyone else, struggle to say no, or find themselves overextending in relationships, work, and family life. They are often used to being the “reliable one” or the “strong one,” yet privately feel overwhelmed, resentful, anxious, or unsure of their own needs and sense of self.

Her work goes beyond surface-level coping. Gabriella helps clients explore the underlying experiences, beliefs, and relational patterns that contribute to anxiety, emotional exhaustion, and feeling “not quite like themselves.” She focuses heavily on helping clients break patterns of people-pleasing, perfectionism, and self-silencing while strengthening boundaries, building assertiveness, and finding their voice in relationships, work, and major life decisions.

Together, they work to understand why boundaries feel difficult, learn how to tolerate the guilt and discomfort that can come with change, and develop the confidence to communicate needs clearly and authentically. Gabriella supports clients in creating a stronger sense of self, healthier relationships, and more sustainable ways of living and relating.

She works with individuals navigating anxiety, trauma, depression, substance use, self-esteem challenges, communication difficulties, and major life transitions. Her approach is insight-oriented and collaborative, grounded in the belief that meaningful change happens through both deeper self-understanding and practical, real-life shifts.

Gabriella’s style is warm, grounded, and nonjudgmental. She values the therapeutic relationship as a foundation for growth and partners closely with clients to identify goals, build effective coping strategies, and create lasting change.

She earned her Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from The College of Saint Rose and has experience across a range of mental health and addiction treatment settings.
