Kaitlin Banks
Kaitlin Banks works with individuals, couples, and families who are seeking greater self-understanding, emotional balance, and more fulfilling relationships. Her approach is grounded in the belief that many challenges (such as anxiety, depression, and relational stress) are shaped by underlying patterns, life experiences, and attachment dynamics.
Kaitlin supports clients in exploring these patterns with curiosity and care, helping them build insight, strengthen emotional regulation, and create meaningful, lasting change. She incorporates a trauma-informed lens into her work, ensuring that clients feel safe, supported, and respected throughout the therapeutic process.
Her style is integrative and tailored to each individual, drawing from Internal Family Systems (IFS), psychodynamic therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), somatic approaches, attachment-based work, and cognitive behavioral therapy. This allows her to adapt to each client’s unique needs while supporting both insight and practical growth.
Kaitlin works with clients across the lifespan and has experience in residential treatment, human service agencies, and outpatient settings. In addition to individual therapy, she works with couples and families to improve communication, navigate conflict, and build healthier, more connected relationships.
Clients often experience Kaitlin as warm, thoughtful, and nonjudgmental. She creates a space where clients feel comfortable exploring their experiences while being supported in moving forward with greater clarity and confidence.
Kaitlin earned her Master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling from New York University.
