Kelsey Richards
Kelsey is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor who works with children, adolescents, and adults navigating trauma, anxiety, depression, and relational challenges. She is known for her integrative, body-centered approach, helping clients move beyond talk therapy to create deeper change.
Kelsey incorporates Brainspotting into her work, supporting clients in processing trauma and accessing deeper levels of healing that are often held within the nervous system. She is also trained in Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) and Child and Family Traumatic Stress Intervention (CFTSI), allowing her to effectively support both individuals and families impacted by trauma.
With a background as a registered yoga teacher, Kelsey brings a holistic perspective to therapy. She thoughtfully integrates mindfulness and movement-based practices when appropriate, helping clients reconnect with their bodies, regulate their nervous systems, and build a stronger sense of internal safety and awareness.
Kelsey works with clients navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, interpersonal challenges, childhood experiences, parenting stress, and family or couples dynamics. Her approach is inclusive, relational, and tailored to each individual. She places strong emphasis on the therapeutic relationship, creating a space grounded in authenticity, trust, and genuine connection.
Clients often experience Kelsey as warm, grounded, and deeply attuned. She earned her Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from The College of Saint Rose and has been practicing as a licensed clinician since 2020.
