Leigha Kosakowski

LMHC

Leigha is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor who works with adolescents, families, and young adults navigating emotional, behavioral, and relational challenges. She is especially known for her ability to connect with teens in a way that feels genuine, engaging, and effective which helps them open up, build trust, and make meaningful progress.

Leigha supports clients experiencing emotional dysregulation, communication difficulties, grief, and periods of crisis or transition. She works closely with both adolescents and their support systems, recognizing that lasting change often involves strengthening family communication and understanding.

Her approach is collaborative, practical, and tailored to each client’s needs. Leigha integrates person-centered therapy with Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Solution-Focused approaches, helping clients build coping skills, improve communication, and feel more confident navigating daily challenges.

In addition to her work with adolescents and families, Leigha also works with adults and couples, and is inclusive and affirming of LGBTQ+ clients. She brings the same relational, down-to-earth style to all of her work, creating a space where clients feel comfortable, respected, and supported in being themselves. Leigha also has a growing interest in working with women experiencing the impact of trauma and those experiencing personality disorders.  She finds this work deeply meaningful.

Clients often experience Leigha as warm, approachable, and easy to talk to, while also being structured and goal-oriented in helping them move forward. Leigha earned her Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Capella University and has experience across outpatient, inpatient, and community-based settings.
