Mariah Palagyi
Mariah is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor who specializes in working with individuals navigating complex trauma, anxiety, depression, and life transitions. She is particularly skilled at helping clients explore the deeper roots of their struggles, supporting meaningful and lasting change rather than surface-level symptom relief.
Mariah incorporates EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) into her work, helping clients process unresolved experiences and reduce the emotional intensity connected to past events. She supports clients in moving out of patterns that feel stuck or repetitive, while strengthening internal stability, self-trust, and resilience.
Her approach is warm, thoughtful, and insight-oriented, with a strong attachment-informed and relational foundation. Mariah creates a space that feels safe and nonjudgmental, while also guiding clients toward deeper self-awareness and emotional clarity. She works collaboratively to explore the underlying dynamics shaping each client’s experiences and to develop strategies that support sustainable change.
Mariah works with individuals facing trauma, anxiety, depression, self-worth challenges, communication difficulties, and periods of transition. She is especially attuned to the complexity of each person’s story and tailors her work to meet their unique needs, history, and pace.
Clients often experience Mariah as compassionate, intuitive, and deeply present. She brings both emotional attunement and clinical skill to her work, helping clients reconnect with their strengths and move toward a more grounded, authentic way of living.
Mariah earned her Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from The College of Saint Rose and has completed training in EMDR.
